Economic Resilience

Center for Climate Equity and Resilience

Economic resilience means building sustainable capacity within communities and regions to better prepare them to withstand and adapt to changing markets and environments.

The Climate Center @ SDSU is fostering economic resilience by improving economic competitiveness, increasing job quality and access, and prioritizing social equity for communities.

Creating an Equitable, Sustainable Economy

Prioritizing sustainability and productivity

Investing in projects that align with regional strategies and meet criteria for equity, job quality, and sustainability.

Why it Matters

Economic development has been uneven in many regions, where benefits from burgeoning industries are not elevating all communities. The Center is working to foster long-term economic resilience by addressing income inequality and its associated negative impacts on affordable housing and health.
